3 Feet High & Rising: BLOODSTAINS Share Orange County Punk EP Demo 2020 (Bandcamp Exclusive)

BLOODSTAINS is an Orange County, California-based Punk Rock/SoCal Death band. They're quite mysterious and list next to nothing on their Bandcamp page and don't seem to have a Facebook page or other social media accounts, but their frontman Cesar Eduardo "Eddie" Marin seems to have a bit more of a social presence online. We, actually, heard about BLOODSTAINS from an online friend and fellow writer, Ben "Edge" Merlis, who posted about them within a Punk/Hardcore Facebook Group. BLOODSTAINS current line-up includes Marin on vocals, David Espinoza on guitar, Nick Espinoza on bass, and Vince Catanho on drums.

BLOODSTAINS' debut release, Demo 2020, a 3-tarck demo EP is currently available as a Bandcamp exclusive. Said Bandcamp page lists: All Songs Written & Performed By BLOODSTAINS, Recorded By David Espinoza, Mastered By Colin Knight, November/December 2020, and Logo Design By Geoff Kresge (Ex-AFI/Tiger Army, FEAR.) Cesar Marin shares on Facebook, "[It's] been years since we've made music. This is our new project. Orange County [through] my eyes. We Are BLOODSTAINS." Demo 2020 features three tracks, which are all over in about eight minutes or less, unfortunately.

However, if these are any sonic indication of what an eventual BLOODSTAINS full-length or proper EP will sound like, it's gonna be utterly amazing! Said frantic frenzied tracks, "Public Hanging," "Nuclear Age," and "Anti-Social," evoke elements of Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Social Distortion, Bad Brains, Minor Threat, Dead Kennedys, Descendents, and other beloved Punk/Hardcore bands of that era. BLOODSTAINS Demo 2020 is now available exclusively on their Bandcamp page. As of last week, cassette tapes are currently available, as well. If you hail from the Orange County area, Demo 2020 cassettes are now available to purchase in physical form directly from Left of The Dial Records & Vinyl Solution (H.B.) locally at brick-and-mortar stores.
